Our ambassador cats can take a field trip to your school for an off site education program! Our one-hour long off site programs feature a half-hour slideshow presentation about Cat Haven and cat conservation followed by a half-hour chat with an ambassador cat on harness and leash. These presentations usually take place indoors, i.e. in a classroom, cafeteria, or gym.
At Cat Haven, we work to support a variety of different conservation groups abroad (helping cheetahs, lions, small cats, and young children in Africa, protecting snow leopards and fishing cats in Asia, studying jaguars and jaguarundi in South America, etc.). Kids can collect backpacks for our Wana Duma Children group in Africa or exchange recycling for money; we have had schools raise as little as $5 and as much as $5,000. Our hope is that, by seeing a wild cat in person, it will inspire kids and prove that every little bit can help.
Accompanying the ambassador program, we ask schools to participate in a fundraiser we call “Coins for Cats.” The goal of this fundraiser is to help kids understand that, by taking an interest and making any bit of effort, they can make a meaningful impact in cat conservation.

Possible Small Cat Ambassadors include: Caracal, Clouded Leopard, Serval, or Lynx.
To schedule an Ambassador Cat Presentation, Cat Haven requires a non-refundable deposit. This deposit can be in the form of a Purchase Order OR $100.00. Deposit will be forfeited if the group “no shows” or cancels or reschedules the program. Deposit goes towards the total cost of the program.
Discounts will be given for multiple events at the same location on the same day. If the group “no shows” or cancels within 7 days of the scheduled program, the group will owe the total shown on the invoice.
If additional insurance documents are required and incur additional fees of Cat Haven, the group will be responsible for paying additional charges.
A $75 Travel Fee applies for events more than 60 miles from the Cat Haven.
