The Trail For Project Survival Cat Haven’s 2025 Spring Twilight Tour, enjoy freely walking the trail surrounded by the vibrant colors of Spring in the Sierra Nevada foothills. Twilight Tour offers the rare opportunity to freely walk our trail without a guide so that you can go at your own pace, spending as much time with your favorite cats as you’d like. Starting at the trailhead beside the Gift Shop, you can walk either direction on our quarter-mile, winding loop trail, paved by Oak, Manzanita, and Buckeye trees. Along the trail, you will see about 25 of our resident cats including Tigers, Lions, Jaguars, Snow Leopards, Bobcats, Mountain Lions, and more. Docents will be stationed throughout the trail to answer questions you may have along the way. Our knowledgeable docents can teach you about each species, help you discover some of the conservation projects that Cat Haven supports, or answer general questions that you may have about our facility. The trail is on dirt and decomposed granite and has some slightly steep uphills and downhills. It may be warm during the day at the Cat Haven in April but can get chilly as the evening goes on. Comfortable shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather are recommended. Pictures and videos are welcome and encouraged. The trail will be open to freely walk until dark (~ 8pm). • Need assistance? We offer a Golf Cart guided experience. Please call ahead to reserve - 559-338-3216.

If you are planning to arrive after 5:00 PM, you can certainly catch up to the Enrichment tour; simply ask a Cat Haven representative where to find them when you arrive.
Dinner buffet will be open throughout the evening - BBQ’d chicken and tri-tip, mouth-watering sides as well as vegetarian options will be available. • Want an even more intimate dinner experience? VIP tickets include privately served dinner.

Project Survival’s Cat Haven is an innovative park dedicated to the preservation of wild cats. It specializes in education and is engaged in both captive and range country conservation.
It is this link to the conservation of cats in their native habitat which makes the work of the Cat Haven especially meaningful. While some of the cats at Project Survival have been orphaned in the wild or have needed to be re-homed due to varying circumstances, we do not call ourselves a sanctuary.
We provide excellent homes for all of our cats but our focus is to educate people about the plight of endangered cat species, and to raise funds for the conservation projects in the wild. Working to mitigate problems between cats and people in the wild, these projects are vital to protecting and conserving these beautiful animals.
Learn more about Project Survival.
Project Survival is a 501c3 non profit organization.
Project Survival’s Cat Haven promotes the conservation and preservation of wild cats in their native habitat by educating visitors and publicizing the work done by Project Survival Cat Conservation Group. Project Survival’s Cat Haven maintains an educational room at the facility for youth programs and an outreach program. The Cat Haven is designed to act as ‘base camp’ in the belief that preserving wild cats in their native habitat is the principle justification for maintaining them in captivity. Project Survival is engaged in fundraising, including the creation of endowments, to support wild life specialists and educators working in range countries.
