What to know before you go!

Dress Code

Try to wear comfortable walking shoes. The quarter-mile walking tour is on a decomposed granite trail which is sloped in places. Plan to stay 1.5 hours at Cat Haven.

Special Accommodations

If you have visitors in your party who need special assistance (example: difficulty walking steep terrain or long distances), please call ahead and inform the Cat Haven in advance when planning your visit. We have a golf cart available but ONLY IF YOU CALL AHEAD! We will do what we can to help. You can also consider booking one of our indoor educational programs. These are an enjoyable alternative which have been very well received by groups ranging from seniors to homeschoolers.

Weather Policy

Weather preparation helps to make your tour thoroughly enjoyable. In summer, wear a hat and sunscreen. Although the path is partially shaded, drink plenty of water before you set out. You may want to carry a bottle of water with you. During the winter season, be prepared for unexpected weather and wear layers. Always be alert for unexpected road conditions.

No Pets Permitted

No pets or service animals are permitted on site. If you are traveling with your pet, we have a kennel available for use in the parking lot.

Tours

Tours are conducted during our business hours and to give our staff a lunch break, no tours will be conducted between 2:00 and 2:30pm

Meet 25 cats!

You'll get a chance to meet close to 25 cats, learn about each species, and discover some of the conservation efforts Cat Haven supports.
